Unveiled

Our first major exhibition together took place at The Connaught Centre during Brighton’s May festival 2006.

The theme was Unveiled which elicited a wide range of responses from the artists.

We had fantastic feedback, see extracts from our comments books below.

Jayne Routley
Based on the Sarracenia plant these interactive pieces invited people to unveil the world by using all their senses.

Alix Mercer-Rees
These four pieces Unveil the characteristics of people in Alix’s life.

Tracy Whittle
Shattered Dreams

Susan D’souza
Trees Unveiled

Sue Watling
Drawn thread work, partially removes the fabric that is being worked on.

Liz Carter
My pieces aim to represent structures that have been uncovered and which offer some explanations of changes in the Earth and its climate over millions of years.

Fiona Mason
Machine embroidery based on a microscopic slice through a piece of mahogany wood.

Sarah Sepe
The beach at Worthing is 'unveiled' at low tide with piles of seaweed, old fishing lines and ropes indicating the tide lines. The collographs show the textures of the detritus and the colours of the wet sands.

Dani Duric-Petrovic
The Rorschach Inkblot Test

The stitching over the top of the inkblots represents an attempt to keep the personality under wraps, so that the real personality remains veiled..
