Sarah Sepe

In 2005 I completed a Foundation course in Art and Design, gaining a Distinction, where I specialised in Fine Art. Within this area I explored Textile Art and worked with fibres, paint and mixed media techniques in addition to printmaking, often stitching into the results.

I am now in the first year of a degree in Surface and Textile Design at Northbrook College, Worthing.

I hope to continue exploring the Textile Art world whilst completing my degree and enjoy the challenge of belonging to Threads.

I work in an increasingly abstract style from my photographs and sketchbook. My interests lie in creating multi-layered surfaces sometimes very simple, other times incredibly deep with internal layers totally concealed. I prefer working with natural fibres and threads, silk and paper in particular, but am also at home with a soldering iron and man-made fabrics.
