Fiona Mason

I recently completed a 4 year Experimental Textiles course at the Connaught Centre. This wonderful course sparked my interest in many areas in relation to textiles and the taking of inspiration from many varied and unusual sources.
I enjoy developing my existing skills and to that end I am currently studying Machine Embroidery at the Connaught Centre.

Being in this group is a wonderful step forward and we are all enjoying working and learning together.

I don’t specialise in any particular area at present as I decide what techniques to use when I have a piece of work in mind. The images on this page are from a piece of work entitled the Four Seasons which consists of 4 panels made up of small pieces of fabric attached to a canvas, each one has colours, images and words associated with that particular season, Spring, Summer, Autumn and Winter.

My work has been exhibited at
The Stitches show at the Brighton Centre
on several occasions.
